Art Program

The Visual Arts Department at the Secondary School aims to develop the students’ aesthetic, creative, and imaginative senses. Visual Art is part of the curriculum in the Middle School and is taken as an optional subject in the High School.

To help students explore different media, the art department is equipped with resources such as digital media, print making, sculpture and pottery to name a few.

We provide students wide ranging exposure, inviting experts from different genres in the field of art which gives students visual awareness, critical and cultural understanding and in depth understanding on subject areas such as genres in contemporary art and practice, art history, art appreciation and filmmaking.

The department also organises field trips with the goal to develop students' curiosity, acquire the skills necessary to conduct inquiry and research and show independence in learning.

Our learning process equips students with the knowledge base and skill set to embark on projects of their choice. Developing aesthetic awareness, an imaginative, creative and personal response.

The Annual Visual Arts exhibition, Tint n Tone, is the culmination of a year’s hard work and showcases an amazing range of student talent.

In  collaboration with the technology department, whole school faculty & students, the art department publishes a well designed year book which is the culmination of the entire school year's events and students’ learning.
