Faculty at ISH

At ISH, our faculty brings together experience, expertise, and a genuine commitment to every student's learning and wellbeing. Our team includes more than 50 teachers and 10 professional staff members representing over 12 nationalities. More than one-third of our teachers have worked in international schools outside India, bringing valuable global experience and different perspectives to the classroom. Many of our teachers have been part of the ISH community for over five years, providing students with continuity and strong, lasting relationships.

 

With small class sizes and an average faculty-to-student ratio of approximately 1:15, teachers are able to know each student as an individual. They adapt their teaching to meet different learning needs, encourage students to ask questions, and provide regular guidance and feedback throughout the learning process.

 

Our teachers are experienced, well-qualified professionals who work collaboratively to create engaging learning experiences and maintain high academic standards. Just as importantly, they build positive relationships with students based on trust, respect, and encouragement, helping every child feel known, supported, and confident.

 

Professional Learning

At ISH, professional learning is an ongoing part of teaching. Our faculty regularly participate in workshops, conferences, and training programmes to strengthen their practice and stay current with developments in international education. Professional learning opportunities include:

 

  • International Baccalaureate (IB) workshops and courses
  • NESA (Near East South Asia Council of Overseas Schools) conferences
  • Principals' Training Center (PTC) conferences
  • NEASC accreditation workshops
  • New Faculty Institute (NFI) conferences
  • In-house professional development led by educational specialists
