ISH School Board

The formal responsibility of managing ISH lies with the Director General of ICRISAT. ICRISAT has established the ISH School Board to help evolve the strategy, define policy guidelines and the operational framework in collaboration with the Head of School. The board also supports the Head of School in managing the school. The School’s Charter, the School’s Mission, the School Board and the rules and regulations of ICRISAT guide the running of the school.

The ISH School Board consists of seven members. The composition of the board is as follows:

  • One member appointed by the Director General of ICRISAT as a management representative.
  • Six members are selected by the committee from the ISH parent community.

 

 

Ram Vasudevan
ISH School Board Chair
Chair since 2020

 

 

Ram received his LLM from Columbia University School of Law, his MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management, Cornell University and his BL from the University of Madras, and is the Founder of QuisLex, widely acknowledged by the industry at large as a top Global alternate legal services firm. Before QuisLex, Ram spent eight years advising clients on corporate and M&A transactions with Skadden Arps and Sidley Austin in New York. Ram is involved in several community based initiatives relating to education and health. 

Ram has two children at ISH (his third daughter graduated this year) and is a big believer in the school and it's ideals.

 

 

 

Angshu Sengupta

ISH School Board

Mr. Angshu Sengupta was the Director of Finance, Risk & Legal at IRRI before he joined ICRISAT. In a career spanning 32 years, Mr. Sengupta worked 13 years in manufacturing, 15 in IT enabled services, two years in international consulting and two years in a non-profit research organization. He has shouldered the responsibilities of a CFO for about 8 years in his career. Mr. Sengupta has worked in GE Capital, GE Healthcare, GE Lighting, Vodafone, Countrywide Financial Corporation / Bank of America, Tata Consultancy Services, ACC Cements and Dunlop amongst other organizations.

Mr. Sengupta is a strategic business partner and out-of-the-box thinker, with successes in business transformation, process redesign for better control and productivity using Six Sigma tools, start-up operations, business/entity restructuring, P&L management, stakeholder management, cost control, risk management, compliance, margin improvement and working capital improvement. He is known for his deliberate and focused approach in leading global multi-cultural teams for reaching business goals.

Prior to joining IRRI, he was the CFO of AGC Networks Limited from 2016 to 2018. There, he oversaw its global operations in India, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, UAE, Abu Dhabi, Kenya, and the USA. During his consultancy days, he worked on projects in Romania, Lithuania, Sri Lanka, Philippines and Tanzania.


 

 

 


 

 

Clark Ledger
ISH School Board
Member since 2020

 

Clark Ledger joined the State Department in 2001 and now serves as Consulate General Hyderabad, India's Consular Section Chief. His most recent overseas assignments include Consular Section Chief at U.S. Consulate General Chengdu, China (2016 to 2019) and Consulate General Naha’s Consular Section Chief in Okinawa, Japan (2012 to 2015). Mr. Ledger also worked as an Economics Officer at U.S. Embassy Beijing (2009 to 2012) and U.S. Embassy Tunis (2004 to 2006) and as a Watch Officer in the Department's Operations Center (2006 to 2007). His first posting was to U.S. Embassy Hanoi (2002 to 2004) as Vice Consul.

Mr. Ledger graduated from UC Santa Barbara (B.A. hons. 1987), Cornell Law School (J.D., 1990), and the Air Force's Air War College (M.S. strategic studies, 2020). He speaks Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, French, and some Spanish. Mr. Ledger has twice received the Department of State's Superior Honor Award, in addition to several Meritorious Honor Awards. He is a competitive Masters swimmer and enjoys surfing whenever near waves. His wife, Sheila and he have two sons, Connor in grade 11 and Calder in grade 5 at ISH. 


 

Scott Norling
ISH School Board
Member since 2017

 

Scott is the Promoter and Managing Director of 4B Serve a company specializing in media communication. He is a coalition builder, educator and pastor who has lived in India for over 30 years, serving the people of India through social service programs across the nation. Over the years he has built a number of churches, schools and developed infrastructure in small village communities including roads, sanitation systems and hospitals.


 

Ravi Paruchuri

Ravi Paruchuri relocated to India as India Country Head for Express Scripts. Prior to that he was Director of Information Technology at Express Scripts, Saint Louis, MO responsible for Order to Cash, Sales, Finance, Procurement, HR IT and was member of Enterprise Applications and Data Warehouse  Leadership team. Before Joining Express Scripts, he led U.S. Commercial Order to Cash IT at Monsanto, Saint Louis, MO, USA and was member of U.S. Commercial IT Leadership team. He started his career with Siemens, Hyderabad, India as Management Trainee and moved to the role of Commercial Manager.

Ravi obtained Master of Information Management Executive degree from Washington University in Saint Louis, MO, USA. Ravi has two children at ISH.

Deepthi Ravula
ISH School Board

Deepthi Ravula is the CEO for WEHUB, India’s 1st and only state led initiative to promote foster Women Entrepreneurship.

She was born and brought up in Hyderabad, Telangana. She has done her engineering from Hyderabad and has attended graduate school at CSU, San Diego. She has 14 years of experience working California, USA in area of Communications. She was the Joint Director for Electronics (Business and Semiconductor) for the State of Telangana from 2016-18

Prior to joining the Department of Electronics, Deepthi had worked in Nokia, San Diego designing Audio Acoustic Circuits. She did protocol design at Palm Inc. in Sunnyvale, Atheros in Santa Clara, Qualcomm and Litepoint (Teradyne) in Sunnyvale. In her roles, she has worked on Audio Acoustic Design, Cellular Technologies all the way from GSM to VoLTE, Connectivity technologies such as BT, WIFI, NFC, ZigBee. She worked as an RF application engineer AE, handling all Pre-and Post-sales support, Technical Marketing, Business Development. She was involved in training customers ranging from PRC(China), India, Europe, South America to USA. She has travelled to various parts of the world in across her roles in Corporate America.

She is an avid gamer, an ardent advocate for women in STEM, Women In Leadership, Financial &Digital inclusion for all so No one is left behind.

 

 

 

Renier Bosman
ISH School Board
Member since 2022

 

Renier Bosman is a South African who has been working as  Aerospace consultant for a TATA company in India since 2015. Renier and his family spend 4 years in Bangalore before joining the ISH family in 2019. 

Throughout his career Renier has held multiple leadership roles in Global Aerospace companies in the UK prior to his transition to India. He is currently supporting a TATA group company in building a Globally recognised Aerospace company. His professional experience in operations, programme and risk management will further contribute to the overall experience of the ISH board.
