ISH School Board

The formal responsibility of managing ISH lies with the Director General of ICRISAT. ICRISAT has established the ISH School Board to help evolve the strategy, define policy guidelines and the operational framework in collaboration with the Head of School. The board also supports the Head of School in managing the school. The School’s Charter, the School’s Mission, the School Board and the rules and regulations of ICRISAT guide the running of the school.

The ISH School Board consists of seven members. The composition of the board is as follows:

  • One member appointed by the Director General of ICRISAT as a management representative.
  • Six members are selected by the committee from the ISH parent community.



Ravi Paruchuri

Ravi Paruchuri is currently Executive Leader at Express Scripts (an American Fortune 100 company) and Country Head for India and Philippines. Prior to his current role, he was Director of Information Technology at Express Scripts, Saint Louis, MO. Before Joining Express Scripts, he held leadership roles at Monsanto, Saint Louis, MO, USA and Siemens, Hyderabad, India.

Ravi obtained Master of Information Management Executive degree from Washington University in Saint Louis, MO, USA and Master of Business Administration from Department of Business Management, Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. Ravi is married and has two children at ISH who have been studying at ISH for the past 7 years.

Remko Vochteloo
ISH School Board
Member since 2016


Remko holds an Executive MBA degree from Business School Lausanne and is the current Country Leader and Director of Operations for Deloitte Netherlands in India. Before joining Deloitte he was the CFO of Andersen Netherlands and was part of the Board of MZH Foundation, a group of five Montessori schools. Remko is passionate about development work in Asia, he has worked in the field of sustainable forest management in Indonesia, as an English teacher in Cambodia and founded a non-profit organization to support unprivileged children in Cambodia. Remko’s children have attended ISH for six years.


Ram Vasudevan

Ram received his LLM from Columbia University School of Law, his MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management, Cornell University and his BL from the University of Madras,and is the Founder of QuisLex, widely acknowledged by the industry at large as a top Global alternate legal services firm. Before QuisLex,Ram spent eight years advising clients on corporate and M&A transactions with Skadden Arps and Sidley Austin in New York. Ram is involved in several community based initiatives relating to education and health and his children are all at the ISH.


Scott Norling
ISH School Board
Member since 2017


Scott is the Promoter and Managing Director of 4B Serve a company specializing in media communication. He is a coalition builder, educator and pastor who has lived in India for over 30 years, serving the people of India through social service programs across the nation. Over the years he has built a number of churches, schools and developed infrastructure in small village communities including roads, sanitation systems and hospitals.



Casparus (Cassie) Kromhout

Cassie Kromhout is the Managing Director and CEO of Shriram Life Insurance. Cassie joined Shriram Life Insurance Company in Hyderabad, India as the COO in March 2010, where he has been building the organizational capabilities. Cassie has been instrumental in developing and executing strategy and is leading the drive towards further innovation, the use of digital technologies and strategic ecosystem partnerships to expand the reach and business growth of SLIC. He began his career in South Africa in 1991 as an Industrial Engineer with Iscor Mining.  He joined the Life Insurance industry in 1997 with the opportunity to be part of the large strategic program to re-engineer Sanlam’s processes and policy administration systems. Cassie and his wife Luchelle have been ISH parents since 2010 and have been supporting, participating in and contributing significantly to the school's activities at multiple levels. Their son graduated from ISH and their daughter currently attends ISH.



Fiona Bourdin-Farrell

Fiona Bourdin-Farrell is the Global Director of Human Resources at ICRISAT with over 20 years of international leadership experience in HR and Gender, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. An Irish national, Fiona has worked in global HR leadership roles in public and private sectors in USA, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. 

Prior to joining ICRISAT, Fiona worked as the Global Director, Human Resources, and Senior Adviser on Special Initiatives for UN Women, based in New York, from 2014.  Previously, she held the post of Director, Human Resources at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), Philippines, from 2008 to 2014. Fiona's experience includes senior roles in multiple private sector organizations including McKinsey & Company, the Persequor Group, and Sodexo.

Fiona is a Chartered Fellow of the Global Institute of Personnel Development. She obtained her Masters in Sustainable Development from Central Queensland University/ANU, Australia, and holds a Masters (Dubl) from University of Dublin, Trinity College, Ireland.


Eric Alexander
ISH School Board
Member since 2019

Mr. Eric Alexander is a career member of the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Service and is currently the Consular Section Chief at the U.S. Consulate in Hyderabad, India. Prior to assuming this role, Mr. Alexander was the Division Chief for the Eastern Hemisphere in the Office of Children’s Issues at the Department of State. Mr. Alexander has previously served in Chengdu, Sofia, Hanoi, Tokyo, Skopje, Bucharest, and Caracas. Mr. Alexander is a native of the state of New Mexico and holds a BSFS degree from Georgetown University. His son attends ISH.
