The formal responsibility for ISH lies with ICRISAT. The Director General of ICRISAT, Dr W. Dar, has delegated the day-to-day operation of ISH to the Head of School/Principal

ICRISAT has created an Advisory Board to guide the Principal in managing the School. The Advisory Board consists of four appointed members.

The Principal heads the school and manages all aspects of the school. The Principal is Mr. Helge Gallinger. Mr. Gallinger may be reached by e-mail at h.gallinger@ishyd.org.

The school is divided into two distinct divisions: an Elementary School and a Secondary School.

The Elementary School comprises Reception-Grade 5 (3 – 12 year old students). Mrs. Sunita Verghese is Head of Elementary/Vice-Principal. Mrs. Verghese may be reached by e-mail at s.verghese@ishyd.org.

The Secondary School comprises Grades 6-12 (12 – 18 year old students). It is in turn divided into 2 divisions: Middle School (Grades 6-8) and High School (Grades 9-10). Dr. Mark Newmark is Head of Secondary/Vice-Principal. He also looks after Grades 6-8. Dr. Newmark may be reached by e-mail at m.newmark@ishyd.org.

Mrs. Antara Biswas (a.biswas@ishyd.org) is responsible for Grades 9-10 and is also the IGCSE Coordinator.

Ms. Lily Nair (l.nair@ishyd.org) is responsible for Grades 11-12 and is also the the IB Coordinator.

Mrs. Elizabeth Courtois (e.courtois@ishyd.org), the Curriculum Coordinator, is responsible for curriculum from Reception to Grade 12.

Transportation to/from the school is looked after by the Transportation Officer, Mr. Jean-Denis Courtois. j.courtois@ishyd.org
